Grown With Intention
A small permaculture farm dedicated to rare peppers, edible flowers, and the joy of growing things well. Come see what's in season.
More Than a Pepper Patch
Bagshot Row started with a love of hot peppers, cooking, and growing things naturally. The farm grew from pure passion — long before any birds arrived. Chickens came after the peppers, then ducks. Every system that exists today grew out of that original obsession with flavor and a refusal to accept factory-farmed poultry as the only option.
Super Rare Peppers
We grow the vibrant, the obscure, and the deeply flavorful — varieties you won't find at any grocery store or ordinary market.
Edible Flowers
Nasturtium, snapdragon, zinnia, sunflower, and passion flower — grown alongside the peppers and harvested fresh.
Duck Pond Irrigation
A 600-gallon pond powers our irrigation system, cycling nutrients from the flock directly to the crops.
Greenhouse Seed Starting
Every plant starts in our on-site greenhouse — giving rare varieties the head start they need.
Shade Cloth Systems
Extensive shade cloth covers the whole farm June through September, protecting plants at peak heat.
Fertigation & Hydroponics
Modern macro-scaled hydroponic and fertigation systems bring precision to small-batch growing.
Passion First. Birds Came Later.
The farm started with a deep love of hot peppers, cooking, and growing things the right way. No birds, no systems — just seeds, soil, and obsession. As the pepper collection grew, so did the conviction that we wanted no part of factory-style poultry farming. Chickens arrived first, then ducks. Every bird here lives well, and that's not an accident — it's the whole point.

We grow super rare, vibrant, deeply flavorful varieties selected for heat character, color, and taste — not shelf life. And here's something most people don't know: peppers contain more vitamin C than oranges. A single red bell pepper has nearly three times the vitamin C of a navel orange, and hot varieties push even higher. Growing your own means eating them at peak freshness, when that nutrition is at its best.
